Meet Mark, one of our two original owners! He and his brother, Jay started APS on Oct. 1st 1981 with two small trucks, a roller, a uniloader and no employees. How far they have come as a company and the legacy they have built is incredible. He is proud of his team and says “It’s amazing to watch the next generation build this company. As the years go by our involvement is decreasing, as I suppose it should be. We did a great job getting the company off the ground, but the next generation is doing a better job of taking APS to the next level. So, an extra thank you to a few of our dedicated long-time employees Chase, Jason, Tyson, Cory, Hoff, and Christy, as well as all the other team members for your hard work and dedication.” Mark has set the bar incredibly high, and as we continue to grow as a company, we will do it with his mentorship in mind. JAY LOOKER

The growth of the company over the last 40 years has been incredible. Jay has had many positions within the company over the years, doing everything from laboring to company operations. He has made a huge impact on the company, which in turn has made a huge impact on the community. Jay, you have helped pave the way for our team to continue your legacy at APS!

RICK KIEHN

Meet Rick! He joined Mark, Jay and APS in 1990 to create a saw cutting and concrete division, extending the services offered at APS. Rick has been monumental in the growth of the company over the years, earning our gratitude and respect. As he works his way to retirement, we are confident his son, Tyson, will continue to grow this division with the same dedication and care. Thank you, Rick, for forming a rock-solid example for us to follow!

Vice President of Operations

CHASE LOOKER

Meet Chase! He has been following in his father, Mark Looker’s, footsteps by working with the company for more than 24 years. The first 15 years were out in the field with asphalt crews, which has given him an abundant knowledge in the field. He used this knowledge to work his way to becoming Vice President of Operations. This position has many requirements, including managing the asphalt, grinding, excavation and trucking portion of the company, as well as sales and operations. He believes the potential for younger employees to move into leadership roles as a result of company growth is imperative for the future of the company. He is quoted as saying “I truly enjoy what I do, and I’m proud to be a part of APS’s growth. It’s exciting to see the direction we have been heading. Expansion not only involves growth as a company, but creates new positions that provide upward mobility for our motivated team members.” Chase, your journey within the company is something we are proud to be a part of, and we look forward to growing the company alongside you as you continue expanding your family’s legacy.

Concrete Sales & Project Manager

TYSON KIEHN

Meet Tyson! He has been a quality and dedicated team member for 22 years. He started his journey cleaning tools, followed by moving into a laborer position within the concrete decision. As his father and valued owner Rick moves closer to retirement, Tyson has moved into the office to start managing projects, as well as estimating. This gives him a chance to expand his career, and opens opportunities for new laborers. Thank you, Tyson, for everything you have done for the company!

BILL SETZER

Meet Bill! He has been an estimator and project manager for more than 12 years. Bill works with the public to bid and secure jobs, followed by working directly with our crews to manage each job in detail. These jobs drive revenue to the company, and deliver a quality product for the customer. As the company moves forward, Bill is most excited about building upon the growth and expansion APS has seen. His attention to detail and commitment to the company is greatly appreciated.

DAN DANIELS

Meet Dan! He has been a dedicated team member and estimator of Asphalt Patch Systems for 26 years. He spends most of his time out in the field working with homeowners associations and local private businesses, establishing long relationships and repeat customers. His friendly and outgoing personality makes him absolutely perfect for this job. According to Dan, “It’s pretty exciting to see the direction the new generation of owners and employees are taking this company, expanding the service that we provide and still maintaining quality and integrity with every job. Asphalt Patch Systems is in fine hands and will be here for a very long time.” You are an asset to our team, Dan and we are grateful for all of your hard work!

JOE NORDI

Meet Joe! He has been an asset to APS for 3 years now. He works as a project manager, as well as in sales. His ability to find and secure work has been incredibly helpful to the company. After securing work, Joe continues to manage the project to completion. In Joe’s words, “I am excited for the next generation of leadership and growth that will come with that. The future is bright at APS.” When Joe isn’t working hard at APS he is found spending time with his family, especially his grandson, Bohdi. Thank you Joe, for your hard work and dedication.

CHRISTY TUTTLE

Meet Christy! She has been valued at APS for 29 years. She works as our office manager and contract administrator, and her hard work and dedication is greatly appreciated. She has been a long-term employee that has helped shape the company today. She is quoted as saying “We have some of the BEST customers. I love working with them, some of which I have worked with for decades. I also work with the best office staff. I am truly blessed! This company has grown so much in the years I’ve been here, but still maintains the family friendly vibe. I truly feel like Asphalt Patch is my second home. I just love being here. Meet Katie! She has been a valued employee of APS since 2014. She has done a fantastic job as our Accounting and HR Administrator. She helps execute the business side of management’s strategic goals and vision for the company. Her expertise and attention to detail has helped contribute to the success of management and in turn, the company. She is excited to see how the next generation improves upon an already incredible family business. Katie is an asset, and we are grateful to work alongside her and her wealth of knowledge.

STEPHANIE MATOS

Meet our office assistant, Stephanie! She enhanced our office team 6 years ago, and she is incredibly helpful to our staff and customers alike. She helps keep things flowing and moving in a timely fashion. She contributes to the company by doing everything from accounts receivable and payables to keeping our job sheets updated and contacts built. Stephanie has said, “I’m excited to see what’s next for the company. It’s grown a lot since I’ve started. Asphalt Patch Systems is a great company. We have wonderful employees and the best customers!” Stephanie is a joy to have on board, and we are thankful for her and her expertise.

Meet Becky! She has been with us just a short time, but has already made a huge impact as our marketing and social media coordinator. She works to give our customers a more personal glimpse into our world by showcasing our work, team members, and company culture.
